So apparently, I am at home, staring at my monitor, thinking of what to write. Oh! Let me write about what's goin' on with my Contact Center Career and How it all started.

Some of you may know that I never imagined myself working in a call center as people discriminate call center agents (and I used to be one of 'em. :-/ ). These people think that if you work in a call center it only means you're not good enough and some may think that you are what they call "UnderGrad" or you just can't find a job and the only choice you have left is to be a Call Center Agent. As long as you can Understand and speak the language, YOU ARE IN! You see what I'm saying?

Everything changed when I started a new life in Manila. I quit my job as a Graphic Artist / Non-linear Video Editor in 2011. Evidently, I wanted a career growth. I started sending applications online. "Lahat din ata ng bangko sa Manila inaplyan ko na." No luck. That's when I started considering workin' overseas. So I was on my way home when I saw this billboard. Jobs Fair! So I went there 2 hours before the Mall opens (ha! ha! Early bird) Little did I know it was a Call Center Jobs Fair! I got too disappointed so I just walked around the mall. After an hour of just walking I decided to give it a try. And there was IBM. I approached this lovely lady and I said I am interested in applying as a Customer Care Specialist. She interviewed me right away and I passed (obviously! ha! ha!) I took the exam and I was endorsed for Operations Interview and If I pass that, I AM IN. I finished the exam at 5pm and I was scheduled for the interview at 9pm. I went home to ask my brother If I should go or not. Without thinking he said "NO!" So I didn't go. The company kept calling me since that day, asking if I was still interested. Eventually, I got my brother's blessing so that's when my career started.

So I got the job. I met a lot of people and I said to myself, "Working in a call center isn't bad after all". Not only will you improve your communication skills but you'll get to know more about american culture. I find it very interesting. Ha! ha! I am very proud to say that I am consistently meeting all my targets **Good Stats! from the day I started taking in calls until now. Receiving positive feedbacks, how I handle calls and how I talk to the customers from the people in the floor are very overwhelming.

So when I learned about the IJP (Internal Job Post) without having second thoughts, I immediately sent my application. I was lucky enough to be included in the final Interview. I never wanted to expect much and yet I expected that I will be one of the 2. After the interview, I went out of the room unhappy. I got too nervous that I wasn't able to show the Interviewer how Eager was I to be part of the Q.A. Team. I know it sucks, So I just prayed for FAIR JUDGEMENT. I didn't get it. So that is the end of the story. I don't want to go into details because this might be taken against me. I just hope that we were treated fairly (and that EOP was still implemented) which I know they did. I know I didn't get that promotion BUT THAT DOESN'T END HERE.

And I can still say that, having this job is like you're back in school. You have classmates, and they are your team mates and your teacher is your team Leader. Does it make sense? ha! ha! Yes it does! I also realized that in this business "People come and go". I know It is just like any other companies but in a call center it's pretty much different, I tell you.

This is what you can call REAL FRIENDSHIP. No Competition. If someone has very high EDR, we just laugh at it or we just simply give tips in lowering it down.

I miss you, Guys!

If you want to survive in this business you got to be strong, and I mean STRONG. You Got to be PROFESSIONAL in every sense of that word. BUT YOU ALSO NEED TO KEEP IN MIND THAT THERE WILL BE PEOPLE WHO DON'T HAVE IT. That's true. I can testify to that. Authority abusive? Oh, There are a lot of them. But like I said, you need to be strong and professional. You are not there to please anyone but you are there to earn money. Having said that, Call center is still fun you just need to learn to love what you're doing and you're good to go. And that's my secret. I learned to love my job and that is why I'm still here and that I can see my future in here.

I just need to continue what I have been doing. Maintain the scores. AND WE'LL SEE WHAT HAPPENS.

Last Saturday was one of those days I enjoyed most with brother. Although, we always hangout every weekend or If not on a weekend, atleast once a week since I have the most "abnormal" work schedule. LOL

We always make sure that we eat out or have a small talk over a cup of coffee or yoghurt once a week since we don't have much time together because I'm on a night shift and opposite naman siya. :-|

So, first we had dinner at Chicboy in Makati. The food was alright and it's cheap. For just 350php, Nabusog kami! :-) We usually spend 1,500php everytime we eat out. How cool is that huh? and oh, Unlimited rice pa!! Then we went straight to one of our favorite hangout place, Starbucks, Greenbelt. Our cousin arrived after an hour, Kuya and I were so happy cos he brought his Camera with him. Yes! My kuya's a "Camwhore" or should I say "Narcissistic?" Kiddin' We just stayed there for a couple of hours, taking pictures of ourselves (pictures are uploaded on my Facebook Account.) Lol, did a lot of catching up (it's a given na!) and asarin yung nagpapanggap na studyante! :-) Nope seriously, he's taking his Masters Degree in Ateneo Graduate School.

Serious, Much?

At 1:30am, We decided to walk around Greenbelt and see if the supermoon was gonna show up. Meron naman but the thing was, the clouds were covering it! Too bad! We realized it was too early to go home so we went to Central BBQ Boy Shots in Makati so I could try their famous Southern Comfort or Soco Shake Slammer. Soco is a yummy chocolate flavored shake with a kick of alcohol (this is now my favorite) and some other more.

You gotta try this!Yummy! Yummy! It tastes just like a normal Chocolate Shake. Yum!

First Ever Vacation

It's been like what? Months? since the last time I blog. Life in Manila has been really really busy for me, (Work, social life bla bla bla. lol) Well yeah, obviously I'm bored so I thought I'd update my blog (why not update your Tumblr? hahaha Well! Next time.) before going to work.

I just had my very first vacation since I started working for IBM. It's a four-day vacation, i was lucky enough to get it approved. So, Here are the things I did:

Sunday - I just stayed at home in Manila. I actually just slept the whole day. hahahhaah Boo me! Bro and I went to Greenbelt for some dinner and coffee. Syempre, A night out with a friend from the US (finally after 5 or 6 years). We spent the night drinking at Kudos in Metrowalk. I was really surprised seeing her with tattoos all over her body, but it looks good on her!!! Really!!! lol

Monday & Tuesday- Sheila and I drove to Tarlac and spent the night at a hotel in Dagupan. Met up with friends at Gloria Jeans. Ano pa ba? The next day, went to Tito Bong's Wake (Tito Bong, RIP.) and had lunch at Jam Sweet Jam. Tapos balik na din agad dito sa Manila. Hindi naman masyadong stressful noh?! hahahaha Anyways, its all worth it naman :)

Wednesday - Guess what?! High Fever and Colds!!! Stuck on my bed the whole freakin' day. hahaha

Did nothing productive but atleast I had fun. Now I'm back to the real world. But its a good thing I'm back on a night shift otherwise, I RESIGN! Just kidding! hahaha

Building a Brand New Relationship with God.

Nuestra Senora de Gracia Church

This Church is now my Second Home since we moved here in Makati. I started hearing the 6PM mass last Monday. And I'm doing it everyday. Yes! EVERYDAY! It’s actually one of those things that I know I should be doing but constantly making excuses not to. LOL! Well, No more excuses now because the church is just 500 meters away from where I live.

It really feels good to be reunited with God. I know it sounds crazy because you guys would probably think that going to church is not my "thing." But HEY! All of us need to work hard on our relationship with God.
Now I feel like God has opened my eyes to a lot of things within my life, some good, some bad.
I may be jobless now but I believe God has better plans for me. I just need to be a little more patient.

It's been awhile since the last time I blogged, Just thought I'd start blogging again since I am not that busy anymore. :)

There's nothing much happening actually. But yeah, I am living in Manila now and I am kinda missing home. I MISS DAGUPAN. I miss my life over there. I miss everyone! I miss my every night gimik with close friends. I miss hanging out with friends at City Mall (I call it sh*tty mall. lol). I miss my family especially Julianne and Chiara, I only get to talk to them on skype (awwwwww! Good thing I have internet at home, otherwise, kill me now! LOL).

My main reason why I am here in Manila is for "self growth". I really need it. And I think its about time to live independently 'cos I am not getting any younger anymore!! haha I am currently looking for a job and hoping I'll find one soon. Something that I will surely enjoy doing and with good compensation and benefits ofcourse. hehe

Living away from home is not easy but I am lucky I have my very supportive brother. *woot! Who helps me with everything. Buys me clothes whenever he has extra money. Who always say, "Ano ka ba? Magtyaga ka lang, Madami pa dyan. Hindi yan para sayo!" whenever I fail the exam or job interview.

Maybe you're wondering, what am I doing since I have all the time in the world and still looking for a job. hehehehe NOTHING! Nothing Productive! During weekdays, I just stay home and spend the day with the computer, facebooking and tweeting LOL! and sometimes I go out with friends ofcourse. Weekends are for are for me and Jared. We usually spend the weekend at the mall (MOA or Market Market) just chilling. Syempre YOGURT FROZE perfectly completes our day. Talk about brother-sister bonding. :)

Graceey left the Philippines June 16, 2010 and now she's back!! (but only for 2 weeks. tsk) Arrived in PI May 12. Met up with her and the boyfriend at Starbucks Greenhills after my Job Interview. We just walked around, had late lunch at Shakey's, went to krispy kreme for some coffee while waiting for the boyfriend.

Then the last thing we did at Greenhills was we watched IRON MAN II. I wanted to watch Miley's movie though. We ate dinner at MOA and then they dropped me off in Pasay where my brother lives. I was supposed to come home to Dagupan with them but I have a job Interview the next day (sayang! Libre fare na sana! hahahaha) FUN DAY!!!!

The Last time I was at Puerto Galera was just last April 10, 2010 with Pjay and MeAn. Just finished packing my things and YES I am Going back to Puerto Galera again Tomorrow!! Woop! Woop! But this time I'm going with Krystle, Aries, Piel & Jam, Nikki, Jojo and Kath. Gonna stay there for 3 days. Yes I am finally back in Dagupan after my 5-day vacation in the Province. It was really nice to see everybody over there. Now I'm back to work. NOT! ahahaha I am going back to Tarlac tomorrow cos me and my high school friends are going to the beach on WEDNESDAY. Yeah baby!

Anyways, Today I got to see my cousin heshe. Had an early lunch with her. Well, It's been more than a decade since the last time I saw her. And yeah! She might come with me to Puerto Galera on Saturday. OMG! I'm gonna be so brown again!!!!!!

I just can't wait to be with my Family and friends in the Province for the Holy Week. *woot! My 4-day-vacation starts TOMORROW! yehey! On Sunday, it's my cousin's "GRAND" BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION, everybody's coming (i think) so this is gonna be so fun. Nothing special today. hahaha I need a life now!! I'm getting tired of this. Yes, I have a job, I'm a freelance video editor and graphic artist BUT HEY! I want a better job, a greener pasture. Something I can call WORK, A PROFESSION.
I really don't see myself getting old in this country but that does'nt necessarily mean that I DON'T love my country, its just that, life here is REALLY HARD (for me atleast). I really want to help my family and give them a better life especially my Parents. I want to save money for my future and settle down somewhere in EUROPE or AMERICA. Wishful thinking hah?!!!!

Went to the Casino today with Tel, Apple and some friends. I did'nt bring my I.D with me cos I never thought I still look younger than my age. LOL They didn't allow me to get in. :( Plus, I was wearing shorty shorts. Tsk tsk! (sorry first time eh!!) The funny thing was, just so they would allow me to get in, I had to wear my sister's dress. Imagine this, Brown dress and green chucks. hahahaha (ay! ano ba yan!! Hindi pa din ako pinapasok after the humiliation!)
I had no choice so I just stayed in a restaurant for an hour . Then I called mom and asked if she knows someone whom we can hire just to bring me my I.D and my jeans. "Buti na lang meron!!!" Finally after 2 hours of waiting, "nakapasok na'ko!!!"
Since it was my first time in the casino, first I just walked around. I started playing a hundred in the slot machine, I LOST! lol Then my sister gave me 500 pesos cos she was winning, and in no time I LOST AGAIN! wtf man!

We all went home with no money left in our pockets. Tita lost 4k, Ate, I'm not so sure but I think It was around 3k, Ate Liza 1k, Kuya Glad 2k, Me 600 (haha) and the Biggest loser! KRYSTLE ASUNCION! hahahahahha 6000 pesos!!! wooooow!!! hahahaha

Well, atleast we had fun :)

Last night, I was at a coffee shop, again! (now part of my daily routine as I have no internet connection at home.LOL). Poor me! hahahaha I was about to go home when an unscheduled power interruption hit Dagupan and some parts of Pangasinan. Good thing the coffee shop has an electrical generator plus Jhonas and Paul came so I decided to stay until 1:30am. The coffee shop was closing so we went to this club. I was able to see some friends whom I have'nt seen in a while. At 3am, finally! "nagkakuryente din!!!" hahaha Jhonas and Paul stayed until 5am in my house, took a nap as we were all tired from walking around Dagupan the whole time the electricity was out. hehehe No life hah?! :))

Tomorrow, I will post some photos of these 2 guys sleeping. hahaha Jhonas And Paul, "Sorry na lang sa mga pictures niyo ha! haha I love you both!!!

CONCERT FOR A CAUSE featuring THE RADICALS Acoustic Version

On the 27th of March 2010, THE RADICALS (one of the leading acoustic bands in Dagupan) will be performing at the East Gate Plaza, A.B. Fernandez East, Dagupan City in a Concert for a Cause.

This concert will benefit the son of the Band's Cajonista, Benjie Mula and also my good friend. Baby John Noah is a Preterm baby with an Esophageal Atresia . The baby had undergone an operation four days after he was born and the hospital bill is now amounting to more than P 700,000.

The concert ticket costs P300 only!!!

Donations are also welcome, for the ticket sales may not be enough to help the baby survive. Maraming Salamat po!

Many things happened last year that I never want to look back anymore but sometimes I couldn’t help it. Everyone knows how much I love my friends that I wouldnever want to hurt them in any way. BUT I NEVER THOUGHT a very close friend for six long years could do such thing to me. Oh god! Of all people, WHY HER? It’s been six months since the “THING” happened and yet I’m still hurting every time I remember everything. (What the hell is up with the number 6? Lol) I will not go into details to what actually happened anymore because it might take me forever writing that sh*t.

I’m sick and tired of dramas oh please. Shall we forget everything and move on? Hmmmm!
